Who we are
At GP Fluency, we believe that great communication is at the heart of great general practice. We’ve seen first-hand how hard it can be to juggle clinical reasoning, patient expectations, time pressure, and empathy — all within the space of a single consultation.
We’re a small team of GPs and medical educators who came together with one clear aim: to help trainees build confidence and fluency in the consultation room. We’ve worked in busy practices, sat in on hundreds of consultations, and supported trainees through every stage of GP training — and we know that communication is a skill, not just an instinct.
Our courses are designed with that in mind. We keep group sizes small so there’s time to think, practise, and reflect. We focus on one or two areas at a time — whether that’s exploring the patient’s agenda, navigating complex consultations, or managing time without losing connection. You’ll work with professional actors, experienced facilitators, and peers who are in the same boat.
Together, we create a safe space to experiment, refine, and grow — because consultation skills aren’t just about passing assessments. They’re about building the habits of an expert generalist: curious, calm, and truly patient-centred
